At Lone Star Baptist College, we are prepared to give you the training necessary for whatever it is that God has called you to do. Several academic programs are offered at Lone Star Baptist College to meet the required training to help you prepare for Godís calling in your life. They are as follows:


One-Year Program (Diploma)

Theological Studies:  designed for the student seeking a strong Bible foundation. (32 credit hours minimum)

 

Two-Year Programs (Associate of Church Ministry Degree)

General Studies for Men:  designed to train men seeking a general college education with a Bible emphasis.

(64 credit hours minimum)

 

General Studies for Ladies: designed to train ladies seeking a general college education with a Bible emphasis. (64 credit hours minimum)

 

Elementary Education:  designed to train ladies for service as an assistant in a Christian school.

(64 credit hours minimum)

 

Secretarial Science: designed to train ladies as an assistant in a church office. (64 credit hours minimum)

 

Pastoral Theology:  designed to train men who desire to work as a second man. (64 credit hours minimum)

 

Three-Year Programs (Associate of Theological Studies Degree)

Associates of Theological Studies Degree for Men & Ladies:  each is designed for the young man or young lady seeking to deepen and expand his or her knowledge of the Bible while receiving a basic college education.

Four-Year Programs (Bachelor of Church Ministry Degree)

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Pastoral Theology Degree is designed to train men who have surrendered to Godís call to be a pastor, missionary, or evangelist. (128 credit hours minimum)

 

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Pastoral Assistant Degree is designed to train men in the position of an assistant pastor, offering fields of specialty in the areas of bus ministry, church ministry, education, and music ministry. (128 credit hours minimum)

 

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Missions Degree for Men is designed to train men who have surrendered their lives to full-time missions. (128 credit hours minimum)


The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Missions Degree for Ladies is designed to train ladies who have surrendered their lives to full-time missions.  In addition to strong Bible studies, this major will give her a working knowledge in business and education courses, preparing her to perform in many facets of a missionís ministry.

 (128 credit hours minimum)

 

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Elementary Education Degree is designed to train ladies to teach in the Christian school at the elementary grade level. (128 credit hours minimum)

 

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Secondary Education Degree is designed to train students to teach in the Christian school at the high school grade level. Secondary Education majors are required to select two teaching fields from the following categories:  English, History, Math, Science, History, Music, and Business.

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Music Education Degree is designed to prepare dedicated musicians to serve the Lord in independent, fundamental Baptist churches and schools.  Students are required to choose an approved music proficiency in a specific instrument and complete a total of 14 credits of private lessons for that instrument. (128 credit hours minimum)

 

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in Secretarial Sciences Degree is designed to train ladies for full-time service in a church or Christian school office. (128 credit hours minimum)

 

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in General Studies Degree for Men is designed to train men that are unsure of a specific call of God into full-time ministry, but are still seeking a strong, well-balanced Bible college education. Men enrolled in this course of study will major in Bible as well as choose courses from the following areas of ministry: Bus Ministry, Church Ministry, Christian Education, and Music. (128 credit hours minimum)

 

The Bachelor of Church Ministry in General Studies Degree for Ladies is designed to train ladies that are unsure of a specific call of God into full-time ministry, but are still seeking a strong, well-balanced Bible college education. Ladies enrolled in this course of study will major in Bible as well as choose a minor from the following areas of ministry:  Business, Christian Education, History & English, Math & Science, or Music.

(128 credit hours minimum)

 

Additional Programs

Masters:  Ministry (M.M.) and Theology (Th.M.)

In our one-year Masters Program, students will take 8 credit hours of classes per semester and be assigned 8 credit hours of ministry training each semester.  Courses and ministry assignments will be chosen in consultation with LSBC Administration and according to the ministry and educational background of the student, as well as his or her interests.

Doctorate:  Theology (Th.D.)

The Doctorate program will consist of 30 credit hours of classes and 30 credit hours of ministry training over a two-year period, and the completion of a 60,000-word dissertation (topic to be approved by LSBC Administration).  Courses and ministry assignments will be chosen in consultation with LSBC Administration and according to the ministry and educational background of the student.
