At Lone Star Baptist College, we are prepared to give you the training necessary for whatever it is that God has called you to do. Numerous academic programs are offered at Lone Star Baptist College to meet the required training to help you prepare for God’s calling in your life. They are as follows:

Audit Program (Certificate of Achievement)

Designed for students completing all audit requirements for 32, 64, 96, or 128 audit hours.

(32 Audit Hours Minimum)

One-Year Program (Diploma)

Christian Manhood: Designed for any man seeking to excel in personal and ministry growth.

Christian Womanhood: Designed for any lady seeking to excel in personal and ministry growth.

Biblical Studies: Designed for the student seeking a strong Bible foundation.

Two Year Programs (Associate of Church Ministry Degree)

General Studies for Men: Designed to train men seeking a general college education with a Bible emphasis.
(64 credit hours minimum)

General Studies for Ladies: Designed to train ladies seeking a general college education with a Bible emphasis. (64 credit hours minimum)

Elementary Education: Designed to train ladies for service as an assistant in a Christian school.
(64 credit hours minimum)

Secretarial Science: Designed to train ladies as an assistant in a church office. (64 credit hours minimum)

Pastoral Assistant: Designed to train men who desire to work as a second man. (64 credit hours minimum)

Four-Year Programs (Pastoral)

Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Theology Degree: Designed to train men who have surrendered to God’s call to be a pastor, missionary, or evangelist. (128 credit hours minimum)

Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Assistant Degree: Designed to train men in the position of an assistant pastor, offering fields of specialty in the areas of bus ministry, church ministry, education, and music ministry. (128 credit hours minimum)

Bachelor of Science in Evangelism Degree:      Designed to train men who have surrendered to be a full time evangelist. (128 credit hours minimum)

Four-Year Programs (Secretarial)

Bachelor of Science in Secretarial Sciences Degree: Designed to train ladies for full-time service in a church or Christian school office. (128 credit hours minimum)

Four-Year Programs (Music)

Bachelor of Science in Music Education Degree: Designed to prepare dedicated musicians to serve the Lord in independent, fundamental Baptist churches and schools. Students are required to choose an approved music proficiency in a specific instrument and complete a total of 14 credits of private lessons for that instrument. (128 credit hours minimum)

Four-Year Programs (Education)

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Degree: Designed to train ladies to teach in the Christian school at the elementary grade level. (128 credit hours minimum)

Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Degree: Designed to train students to teach in the Christian school at the high school grade level. Secondary Education majors are required to select two teaching fields from the following categories: English, History, Math, Science, History, Music, and Business.

Four-Year Programs (Missions)

Bachelor of Science in Missions Degree for Men: Designed to train men who have surrendered their lives to full-time missions. (128 credit hours minimum)

Bachelor of Science in Missions Degree for Ladies: Designed to train ladies who have surrendered their lives to full-time missions. In addition to strong Bible studies, this major will give her a working knowledge in business and education courses, preparing her to perform in many facets of a mission’s ministry. (128 credit hours minimum)

Four-Year Programs (General Studies)

Bachelor of Science in General Studies Degree for Men: Designed to train men that are unsure of a specific call of God into full-time ministry, but are still seeking a strong, well-balanced Bible college education. Men enrolled in this course of study will major in Bible as well as choose courses from the following areas of ministry: Bus Ministry, Church Ministry, Christian Education, and Music. (128 credit hours minimum)

Bachelor of Science in General Studies Degree for Ladies: Designed to train ladies that are unsure of a specific call of God into full-time ministry, but are still seeking a strong, well-balanced Bible college education. Ladies enrolled in this course of study will major in Bible as well as choose a minor from the following areas of ministry: Business, Christian Education, History & English, Math & Science, or Music. (128 credit hours minimum)

Graduate Programs (Masters)

Masters: Ministry (M.M.) and Theology (Th.M.), and Education (Ed M.) In our one-year Masters Program, students will take 8 credit hours of classes per semester and be assigned 8 credit hours of ministry training each semester. Courses and ministry assignments will be chosen in consultation with LSBC Administration and according to the ministry and educational background of the student, as well as his or her interests. A Bachelor’s degree from our or another institution is a prerequisite for this program.

Graduate Programs (Doctorate)

Doctorate: Theology (Th.D.) and Ministry (D.Min) The Doctorate program will consist of 32 credit hours of research, compilation, and composition of their doctorate work writing a curriculum or a book manuscript on the assigned subject. A second 32 credit hours will compose of them teaching their material in a church or educational institution setting. Subject matter will be chosen and directed through consultation with LSBC Administration according to the ministry and educational background and interest of the student. A Master’s degree from our or another institution is a prerequisite for this program.
